On New Year’s Eve, there were reports that Kentucky assistant coach Vince Marrow agreed to a new three-year deal. This weekend, a new report offers some details into that new contract for Marrow.

FootballScoop reports that Marrow’s extension comes with a new job title. In addition to being UK’s tight ends coach and recruiting coordinator, Marrow will also be the team’s associate head coach. The new deal reportedly comes with a starting salary of $650,000.

Marrow’s recruiting ties in Ohio are viewed as critical to Kentucky’s improvement under coach Mark Stoops and this past season’s 10 wins. When Stoops took over in 2012, he signed Marrow to his staff. In 2015, Marrow stayed with Kentucky despite interest from Jim Harbaugh at Michigan.

Kentucky added 22 signees in the class of 2019. The class is ranked No. 34 nationally on the 247Sports Composite.
