Here’s how the Kentucky Wildcats graded after their 63-31 loss to Georgia.

OFFENSE: C-

Quarterback Patrick Towles threw for 139 yards, a touchdown and an interception on 16-of-31 passing. The Wildcats rushing attack totaled 214 yards and three touchdowns on 47 carries, including a team-best 100 yards and a touchdown by Stanely “Boom” Williams. But the Wildcats scored the majority of their points in the second quarter and were held scoreless in both the first and third quarter.

DEFENSE: F

63 points. The Wildcats entered Saturday’s game as the No. 94 overall rush defense in the FBS. Facing a run-heavy Georgia offense, Kentucky’s struggles continued, allowing 305 yards and two touchdowns on 39 carries. Nick Chubb dominated with 170 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries. The Wildcats failed to make any stops on third down, allowing an 8-of-8 efficiency.

SPECIAL TEAMS: D

Isaiah McKenzie recorded 116 yards and a touchdown on two kickoff returns. He added 59 yards and a score on a punt return. Kentucky’s only positive play came on a forced fumble following its first scoring drive.

COACHING: F

Mark Stoops and his staff did little to keep Kentucky in contention. The Wildcats looked overmatched and the players seemed less motivated as the game continued. Stoops has not coached like someone who just received an extension and has struggled since facing the Wildcats tougher portion of the schedule.

OVERALL: D

Kentucky struggled in all aspects of the game. The offense looked inconsistent, despite scoring 31 points. The defense looked abysmal, posing little threat to Georgia’s dominant rushing attack. Special teams was also atrocious, allowing multiple scores for returns. Kentucky is far from a bowl caliber team and should struggle with its remaining road schedule.
