Kentucky has done an outstanding job early in the 2018 recruiting cycle mining the state of Florida for talent, but the distance between Lexington and the Sunshine State appears to be too much for Cadarius Gaskin.

According to a scoop from recruiting insider Ryan Bartow, the 6-foot-3, 215-pound Gaskin has decided to “part ways” with Kentucky. If accurate, the Wildcats now down to three total commits from the state of Florida. This decommitment would be UK’s second in a month’s time. Two weeks ago, Kentucky suffered the decommitment of rising Georgia quarterback Jarren Williams.

Bartow released the Gaskin news Monday morning. Gaskin’s Twitter account currently does not list him as a Kentucky commit.

Kentucky still holds commitments from six 2018 prospects, all of which are considered three-star prospects. After losing Gaskin’s commitment, the Wildcats still hold commitments from two receivers in Marvin Alexander and Shocky Jacques-Louis. Both of them are Florida natives.
