The SEC coaches released their preseason All-SEC teams Thursday night, and Kentucky was represented by senior defensive end Bud Dupree on the second team defense. He was the Wildcats’ lone selection among the three All-SEC teams.

Dupree was named a second team All-SEC performer by the Associated Press in 2013, and was named to numerous award watch lists this preseason, including the Hendricks Award – given to the nation’s top defensive end – and the Nagurski and Bednarik Awards – given to the nation’s top defensive player.

The senior has 173 tackles, 24.5 tackles for loss and 16 sacks in 35 career games f0r the Wildcats, including 26 starts.

All 14 SEC programs were represented on the coaches’ preseason All-SEC teams, and Kentucky was just one of four teams to not have a player named to the first team, along with Mississippi State, Missouri and Vanderbilt.
