Kentucky’s locker room looked like a fun place to be late Saturday night.

The Wildcats had good reason for celebration — they defeated Mississippi State on a last-second field goal to end a seven-game losing streak to their permanent cross-divison rivals. The victory also brought Kentucky one game closer to making its first bowl in Year 4 of the Mark Stoops era and moved the Wildcats above .500 for the first time this season.

After starting the season 0-2, the Wildcats have won four straight home games and four of their last five overall.

The most recent win came down to the final play, as kicker Austin MacGinnis booted a 51-yard field goal as time expired. He received the game ball, which sent his teammates into a frenzy.
