Kendell Beckwith and Leonard Fournette both earned SEC after helping LSU knock off Ole Miss this past Saturday, both players earned SEC Player of the Week honors.

Beckwith was named the SEC’s Defensive Player of the Week after setting a career high with 10 tackles in LSU’s 10-7 win. He also recorded a pass breakup and a quarterback hurry. Beckwith made one of the biggest plays of the game when he came up to stop Rebels quarterback Bo Wallace behind the line of scrimmage on Ole Miss’ fourth-and-1 try late on the drive after the Tigers took the lead.

Fournette was awarded the Freshman of the Week award for the second time this season after he picked up 113 yards on 23 carries against the Rebels. He put up 200 total yards for the second time this season, and crossed the 100-yard mark on the ground for the third time. Ole Miss was only allowing 97 yards per game on the ground before the game.
