Ed Orgeron discusses why Arden Key is getting bad reputation from NFL scouts
Heading into the 2017 season, LSU pass rusher Arden Key was projected to be a high first-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.
However, he had an injury-plagued and inconsistent junior season, filling his draft profile with question marks as he now prepares to turn pro.
On Tuesday, though, LSU coach Ed Orgeron had Key’s back, saying he thinks Key is going to be a great player for whatever team takes a chance on him:
Orgeron on Arden Key being treated unfairly by NFL people: "NFL is very detailed. Business like. They're not going to take care of you. They expect you take care of yourself. .. I'm convinced that whoever gets him is going to get a great player."#LSU

Key is being projected by most analysts as a Day 2 pick at this point, but there’s no denying his talent when he’s on top of his game.
He has faced plenty of questions from NFL teams at the NFL Combine and elsewhere, and now he’ll just have to wait for one team to take a chance on him.
