Former LSU athletic director Skip Bertman would not hire Lane Kiffin to be the Tigers’ next head coach.

During an interview with 104.5 ESPN in Baton Rogue, Berman told Charles Hanagriff and Jimmy Ott that he thinks Kiffin would be a bad fit for the LSU job.

Bertman, who hired Les Miles in 2005, said he believes the recently fired coach will continue coaching somewhere else, rather than retire.

Bertman, a former LSU baseball coach from 1984-2001, served as the school’s AD from 2001-08. During his tenure, LSU athletics won 10 national championships in three sports including two in football (2003, 2007).
