Former LSU DB Tyrann Mathieu makes good on his bet with J.J. Watt
Before LSU’s 16-14 loss to Wisconsin at Lambeau Field on Saturday, two NFL defensive stars — LSU alum Tyrann Mathieu and Wisconsin alum J.J. Watt — made a friendly wager on the game.
The bet? Whoever’s school lost had to do 100 pushups. After Mathieu’s Tigers fell to Watt’s Badgers, he made good on his promise.
The Honey Badger made sure to set the bar low before he got started on paying the debt, though:
Now before I post this push up video remember I only did 4 reps of bench press @JJWatt ????

Mathieu joked that he couldn’t do all 100 in one set, so he had to break them up into two sets.
Here’s the first:
Now I had to split this up in sets ??? @JJWatt I'm not strong like you pic.twitter.com/3ttwDbF9Ev

Watt appreciated Mathieu’s follow through:
@Mathieu_Era ✊?✊?✊? much respect!! Man of his word. What a game.

According to NFL.com, Mathieu’s teammate and fellow LSU alum Patrick Peterson also had a bet with Watt. If he keeps his word, he’ll have to wear Badger colors in the near future.
