Former LSU Tigers defensive end/outside linebacker Andre Anthony was cut by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as a part of the final cuts for the 53-man roster spot.

Anthony was drafted by Tampa Bay in the seventh round (248th overall pick) in the 2022 NFL Draft.

He was recovering from an ACL tear he suffered last season. He also experienced a season-ending injury he suffered in the 2017 season.

Anthony arrived to LSU Tigers in 2016 as he played for the program for six seasons. Anthony accumulated 55 total tackles, 25 solo tackles, 11 tackles for loss, 10.5 sacks, 3 pass breakups, 2 forced fumbles, and a defensive touchdown this past season.

After his release, he will have a chance to join Tampa Bay’s practice squad roster.
