Jayden Daniels has another honor to add to his record-setting 2023 season at LSU.

On Tuesday, the SEC confirmed the star quarterback is the recipient of the 2023-24 Roy F. Kramer Male Athlete of the Year Award. Parker Valby, star runner for Florida, received the Female Athlete of the Year.

In his pursuit of the Heisman, Daniels became the only player in FBS history to rush for 200+ yards and pass for 350+ in the same game. He also set the SEC record for total offense with 606 total yards in that game against Florida.

Daniels would go on to be named a consensus All-American, the SEC Offensive Player of the Year and the Walter Camp Offensive Player of the Year to go with the Davey O’Brien Award and other honors. LSU’s star led the nation in total offense (412.2, points responsible for per game (25.2), passer rating (208) and yards per play (10.71) and was 3rd in the nation with 40 passing touchdowns.

Kramer Athletes of the Year,” said SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey. “It takes an exceptional level of discipline and commitment to achieve at highest level of competition, a level that has been reached by Parker and Jayden with the consistency necessary to be called the best of the best. These young people are great examples of what it means to be a student-athlete in the Southeastern Conference.”

After his record-setting season at LSU, Daniels was selected No. 2 overall by the Washington Commanders in this year’s NFL Draft. Now, he’ll try and translate his electrifying skill set to the next level.
