Leonard Fournette has been praised more than he has been scrutinized during his first two years as a running back in the SEC, but wanted to follow suit of LeBron James by calling out his critics.

James, of course, just won an NBA championship with the Cleveland Cavaliers after being down 3-1 in the Finals. He led his team back, grabbed his third ring, and won MVP in the process — then proceeded to blast his critics with this not-so-subtle Instagram post.

In 2015, LSU started the season 7-0 and reached as high as No. 4 in the AP Top 25 poll. Through seven games, Fournette had averaged 193.1 rushing yards and found the end zone 15 times. Then the Tigers played Alabama and Arkansas, where Fournette combined for 38 carries and 122 yards.

LSU lost both games and sputtered in another, finishing 9-3 while Fournette was left out of the Heisman ceremony.

On Tuesday night, Fournette posted this to Instagram in LeBron-like fashion:

“He didn’t win the Heisman, his team didn’t help him out, he has no quarterback, (they’re) a one-dimensional team, too much talent, hope they win the west, etc.,” the caption reads. “Bet that up we going to see what all the talk about…..”

Will Fournette be able to back it up the same way LeBron did? LSU fans certainly wouldn’t be upset if he brought a title home to Baton Rouge this fall.
