Facing a Mizzou offense averaging nearly 45 points per game, LSU will need to be able to put up points this Saturday.

This challenge could ultimately happen without the services of LSU’s best player.

Speaking at a post-practice media session, interim head coach Ed Orgeron admitted that RB Leonard Fournette is a ‘game-time decision’ for this weekend’s clash against Missouri.

Fournette reaggravated a preexisting ankle injury during the final drive of last weekend’s game versus Auburn. It’s been a problem plaguing Fournette since before the season began. Should he be hampered or limited severely, look for rising sophomore Derrius Guice to get the lion’s share of the carries.

On the year, Fournette has rushed for 386 yards and two touchdowns on 67 carries. This equates to a 5.8 yards-per-carry average.
