So in case you were in a cave or away from your television set on Saturday night, Leonard Fournette is back. How back? 16 carries, 284 yards, 3 touchdowns back.

But of course, a picture is worth 1,000 words. So we could give you an essay or just show you what he did to Ole Miss DB Deontay Anderson. Anderson, ironically enough, goes by the Twitter handle @DTRAIN_. It’s ironic because Fournette looked like a locomotive when he caught a pass, looked up field and saw Anderson on Saturday night.

Fournette hauls in QB Danny Etling’s pass and navigates up the sideline. A mere mortal ducks out of bounds at that point, which is probably what Anderson expected. Instead, he got decleated by a purple and gold train with a license plate reading “7.” We’ve got to admit, we almost wore out the “replay video” option watching the play again and again. So what did we do next? We went to the archive and found five similar SEC plays to Fournette’s. If you liked Fournette’s rumble, you may also enjoy these little beauties.

This is by no means a comprehensive list, but these are great nonetheless.

Tim Tebow punishes a Florida State DB

Ah, Timmy Touchdown. Much better running over guys than playing minor league baseball. Tebow has a nice gain on this play and is well into the secondary. The normal QB slides, but instead, Tebow just plows through Florida State DB Jamie Robinson. Not quite as shifty or as punishing as Fournette, but no doubt embarrassing for Robinson.

Vandy’s Zac Stacy causes two Wake Forest DBs to knock out each other

It was 2011, and Vandy decided to show Wake Forest what SEC football is like. Junior RB Zac Stacy takes a handoff and works right. Two different Wake DBs have an angle on Stacy until he explodes off of both, hitting them and leaving them tumbling like dominos. The video above is cool because each replay of this play is a little more impressive than the one before. Bonus to Stacy for reaching the end zone on his crushing run, although it’s not quite as intense as Fournette’s.

Ronnie Brown tears off a helmet and reaches paydirt

It was 2004, and Ronnie Brown went up the middle for Auburn. Tennessee’s Jason Allen was in position to stop him around the 5-yard line, got low and prepared to hit Brown. At which time Brown just went through Allen, tearing through the Vol defender with so much force that not only did he knock Allen back, but he tore his helmet off … and Brown scored the touchdown. Just a savage run, and based on the infliction of violence, not at all unlike Fournette’s play. Cadillac Williams had a nice TD run from about the same distance if you keep watching that video.

Legends edition: Herschel Walker Does His Thing

It was 1980. Herschel Walker was a freshman, and Larry Munson, the longtime voice of UGA football, was about to become really excited. Georgia, as it would do all the way to the national title, handed off to Herschel. UT DB Bill Bates was a bad man in his own right, and he squares up and hits Walker solidly. Walker’s legs never stop running. When Bates goes to the ground as a mere mortal might, Walker just flies on past, end zone ahead. Of all the plays we dug up, this is the one that feels most like Fournette. Maybe a little Heisman mojo from one member of the club to a candidate for membership.

But really, at the end of the day, the guy who is most like Fournette is … well, Fournette.

Leonard’s Been Here Before

It was two years ago when Fournette ran up the middle on Texas A&M. Howard Matthews led the Aggies’ defense in tackles in 2014 and was a talented DB. That said, he’s lucky he got away from this play with his life. Fournette shrugs him off like Matthews was a Pee Wee league player. He goes into the end zone with ease, drawing comparisons with (see above) Herschel Walker, according to David Pollack. He is like Walker. But most of all, he’s just himself. The first Leonard. And who knows what will be in store next?
