When Ben Miles — the son of LSU’s head coach Les Miles — was offered a scholarship, many assumed it was a foregone conclusion he’d follow his father to Baton Rouge.

Instead, the younger Miles changed course and committed to Mike Riley and the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Though this turn of events may have stung, it isn’t stopping the LSU head man from trying to get his son to stay home.

Miles was photographed in attendance during his son’s season-opening game between Catholic High School and St. Michael High School.

Aside from the obvious familial ties, there are also some other fascinating links between his son’s team and LSU.

For one, OC Cam Cameron has a son — Christopher — on the team. Dually, two other teammates (Aaron Moffitt, Clyde Edwards-Helaire) are LSU commitments. Moffitt’s father — Tommy — is the Tigers current strength and conditioning coach.

Don’t be surprised if Miles will be a regular at the Catholic High School football games this fall.
