A number of top head coaching jobs across the country have already been filled this year, and one rumored candidate for multiple positions shared a bit of insight Thursday.

Les Miles, who won 114 games with the LSU Tigers and captured the 2007 National Championship, was recently asked how many schools had reached out to him about a head coaching vacancy. Miles’ response was brief, and he claimed no school reached out to him about a job.

“None, not one,” said Miles.

It is a particularly interesting revelation after his name was mentioned as a possibility at a number of schools. Miles did say he hopes for another opportunity but also that he enjoys his current position.
