St Stanislaus (Bay St. Louis, Miss.) QB Myles Brennan isn’t the highest-rated LSU commit (that’s 5-star CB JaCoby Stevens), but he’s arguably new coach Ed Orgeron’s most important pledge. It’s no secret that problems on offense, particularly at the quarterback position, played a part in Les Miles’ dismissal, and LSU fans are counting on Orgeron to get the right people in place.

Brennan, the No. 6 pro-style prospect on the 247Sports Composite, originally committed to Miles and offensive coordinator Cam Cameron on April 30. He appeared to waiver on that commitment when LSU extended an offer to dual-threat prospect Tua Tagovailoa, an Alabama early enrollee.

The offer to Tagovailoa came at a time that Lane Kiffin was rumored to be the Tigers’ next offensive coordinator. Kiffin instead took the head coaching job at Florida Atlantic and LSU hired Matt Canada as its offensive coordinator. With Brennan back in Baton Rouge this weekend on an official, it’s safe to say that everything appears to be good between the Tigers and their 4-star quarterback commit.

Brennan called his official visit at LSU an “amazing weekend,” and included Orgeron’s team motto in his tweets.
