LSU landed a commitment from one of the top offensive linemen in the Class of 2017 on Friday.

Edward Ingram — a four-star recruit and the No. 8 offensive guard prospect out of DeSoto, Texas — announced on Twitter that he’s made a pledge to the Tigers.

The 6-foot-4, 325-pounder chose LSU over several other SEC schools, including Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi State, Missouri and Texas A&M as well as several other elite programs.

For LSU, Ingram marks the fifth commit in the cycle along with five-star DT Tyler Shelvin, four-star ATH Patrick Queen and a pair of three-stars in RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire and ATH Jontre Kirklin. However, Ingram is the first from outside the state of Louisiana.
