LSU lifted its ban on on-field performances from visiting marching bands earlier this month, and now Jacksonville State plans to take advantage of the new policy. JSU band director Ken Bodiford announced the news in a Facebook post Friday.

CollegeMarching.com says that Tigers fans should stick around for the performance:

The LSU fans are in for a real treat with the Southerners coming to town. The 400-plus member band is one of the best in the country. This game immediately catapulted up our rankings as one of the top band match-ups of the year with today’s news.

LSU’s ban on opposing bands, which was officially in effect for the 2015 season for safety reasons, first made news on June 10. In the wake of backlash from the policy, LSU announced a reversal less than a week later.

The Tigers begin the 2016 season against Wisconsin at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wis. on Sept. 3 and host Jacksonville State in Baton Rouge the following Saturday.
