LSU will honor its 2007 national championship team on Saturday during halftime of the Auburn game in Baton Rouge.

Former Tigers running back Jacob Hester will serve as an honorary captain, along with some of his teammates from the ’07 Bayou Bengals’ championship squad — Glenn Dorsey, Matt Flynn, Patrick Fisher and Craig Steltz.

The 2007 LSU team became the first and only two-loss BCS national champion after a wild season that saw the Tigers lose to Kentucky and Arkansas in triple overtime before finishing off Ohio State in the national championship game.

Former head coach Les Miles, who happened to be fired last season after the Auburn game, will also be in attendance for the ceremony. Miles still lives in Baton Rouge and remains an avid supporter of the program, a report from The Advocate said.

Hester posted on Twitter Thursday afternoon:

LSU and Auburn kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET on CBS.
