After being drafted in top-10 two years ago, Morris Claiborne hasn’t found the success many expected from him in his first two years playing for the Dallas Cowboys. Unfortunately for the former Tiger, he might have to wait until next season to finally make an impact. On Sunday night against the New Orleans Saints, Claiborne went down with a torn patellar tendon. It’s a disappointing injury in an already disappointing season for Claiborne, who was demoted from his starting role earlier in the week. Despite that bad news, there were still highlights from LSU alumni around the league. Here are some of the top performers.

  • Kyle Williams, Buffalo Bills: The veteran defensive tackle had a tackle for loss and a pass defensed, but couldn’t stop the Bills from falling to the Houston Texans.
  • Russell Shepherd, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Shepherd caught first career passes, bringing in 2 catches for 30 yards in the Buccaneers wild comeback win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
  • Jarvis Landry, Miami Dolphins: The rookie receiver caught all 4 passes thrown his way, good for 38 yards in a Dolphins blowout win across the pond in London.
  • Donnie Jones, Philadelphia Eagles: Donnie Football was the Eagles MVP on a day when their offense couldn’t get anything going. He boomed 6 punts for an average of 48.5 yards, including a long of 61 yards.
  • Reuben Randle, New York Giants: Randle got the weekend off to watch the Tigers romp after putting in work on Thursday. The receiver had 8 catches for 89 yards as the Giants rolled over Washington last Thursday.
