Leonard Fournette’s junior season at LSU did not go as planned, with injuries limiting the elite running back to participating in only seven games this season (129 carries, 843 yards, 8 TD). Due to Fournette’s absences, RB Derrius Guice finished as the team’s leading rusher (157 carries, 1,249 yards). That’s not stopping NFL scouts from predicting a very bright future in the pros for the LSU ball-carrier.

Gurley, a member of the 2015 draft class out of Georgia, has rushed for 1,785 yards and 14 touchdowns on 440 career carries with the Los Angeles Rams. Former Ohio State RB Ezekiel “Zeke” Elliott was the No. 4 overall pick by the Dallas Cowboys in the 2016 NFL Draft. As a rookie, Elliott has rushed for 1,285 yards and 12 touchdowns on 263 carries.

Team needs play a huge factor in where a player is drafted, but if Fournette is considered better than Elliott, one has to wonder how high he will go.
