It’s been a fantastic year for former LSU wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.

Not only did the NFL rookie make arguably the greatest catch of all time, but he also became the youngest player ever to be on the cover of the Madden video game.

You can go ahead and add another impressive accomplishment for the rising superstar. The Rockland Boulders of the Can-Am League extended a contract offer as a pitcher to Beckham Jr. after his recent showing at a celebrity softball game Friday night.

“It’s apparent that Odell is a very gifted athlete regardless of his sport. We think that getting experience pitching to professional hitters will give him the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of Deon Sanders and Bo Jackson”, said Shawn Reilly, Boulders General Manager, in an email to Lohud.com. “As we are the New York area’s only defending professional championship team, he will have the opportunity to learn in a first-class environment while still in close proximity to MetLife Stadium.”

“We were very impressed with Odell’s mechanics in the video,” said Bobby Jones, Boulders Pitching Coach. “He’s shown his ability to catch a ball on the gridiron and after seeing his prowess on the mound, I am optimistic that he has the tools to develop into a quality pitcher.”

No doubt Beckham Jr. is talented enough to play many sports — he played basketball, football and track in high school, but I doubt there’s serious interest on his end. I would be willing to bet Beckham Jr. could play outfield and steal 25 bases per season.

Regardless, you know life is good when pro teams are willing to extend a contract offer based on a celebrity softball game.

And he can pitch!!! 😱😱🔥🔥 Who throws a softball 90 mph!?? @iam_objxiii @coreyeps catching the heat!!
