A scheduling mistake will cause Tigers’ DE Isaiah Washington to miss spring practice, according to Ross Dellenger of The Advocate. Washington fell below the minimum number of courses needed to remain eligible for this semester.

Washington, who is entering his junior year, missed all of 2016 after suffering multiple knee injuries during non-contact drills. In 2015, he appeared in six games, registered three tackles and forced a fumble.

Rated as a three-star player by 247Sports Composite, Washington was slated to back up Arden Key before it was announced that Key was taking a leave of absence. With Key’s status up in the air, Washington was expected to get more reps this spring, but that will not be the case.
