LSU already lost GM Austin Thomas to Tennessee on Wednesday, but now the Tigers will have yet another position to fill.

According to FootballScoop.com, LSU is expected to lose OL coach Jeff Grimes to BYU.

The site reports that Grimes will accept the offensive coordinator position for the Cougars as soon as he gets clearance, which should come soon:

Source tells FootballScoop Wednesday night LSU offensive line coach Jeff Grimes plans to accept the offensive coordinator job at BYU pending formal clearance which is expected in the next 24 hours.

The report also states that Grimes is expected to remain at LSU through the Citrus Bowl on New Year’s Day, which is good news for Ed Orgeron and his coaching staff.

However, the Tigers will soon have another position to fill, and it will be interesting to see who ends up getting the position for the 2018 season.
