LSU landed yet another elite commitment this weekend, this time from IMG Academy prospect Jhamon Ausbon. After this latest commitment, the Tigers now have arguably the best trio of receiver prospects committing for 2017.

Ausbon, originally from Houston but playing his senior season at Florida’s IMG Academy, announced the news via Twitter Saturday night:

The 6-foot-2, 217-pound Ausbon is rated as a 2017 four-star prospect, the No. 41 overall prospect in the nation, the No. 8 receiver in the nation and the No. 8 recruit from the state of Florida, according to 247Sports. Ausbon committed to LSU over finalists Texas A&M, Auburn and Michigan. The elite prospect also holds offers from Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, Miami, Nebraska and Oklahoma among others.

With Ausbon now on board, LSU now has a stacked group of receivers committed to its latest recruiting class. Four-star receiver Mannie Netherly also committed this weekend and is joined by fellow four-star receiver and Tiger commit Stephen Guidry – the No. 1 junior college receiver prospect in the nation.

LSU’s new receiver coach Dameyune Craig — and the Tigers’ lead recruiter for Ausbon — took to Twitter to express his reaction to the news:

The Tigers now have 14 total commitments lined up for 2017 and ranks as the nation’s No. 5 overall recruiting class according to 247Sports’ recruiting composite team rankings.
