Travin Dural’s rise to the toward the top of the nation’s wide receiver rankings continues. After a season and career high in catches against Louisiana-Monroe, Dural has been added to the Biletnikoff Award watch list.

Through three games, Dural has been Anthony Jennings’ favorite target. The sophomore has 12 catches for 370 yards and 4 touchdowns. While his average yards per catch did drop from 48.5 to 30.8 after last Saturday’s 31-0 win, Dural showed an ability to provide a shorter-range outlet for LSU’s QBs against ULM. He didn’t have multiple catches on any  single drive against the Warhawks, but three of his grabs went for first downs and two others helped to set up scores.

Dural, whose status for the ULM game was questionable after needing stitches following a car accident, will be needed against Mississippi State on Saturday. The Bulldogs have been stingy against the run so far, while their pass defense has been subpar.
