Twitter reacts to LSU AD Joe Alleva's comments about handling of Florida game
Though the LSU-Florida game has been rescheduled, the controversy surrounding it is far from over.
After a Monday report that found Tigers athletic Director Joe Alleva in emails called the handling of the game “a joke,” the bitter feelings between both schools and fan bases were rekindled.
The game, which was originally scheduled for Oct. 8 in Gainesville, was indefinitely postponed due to the impending landfall of Hurricane Matthew. It was eventually rescheduled for Nov. 19 in Baton Rouge after heavy public outcry for the game to be made up, but there was plenty of posturing from school officials and fans alike between the two decisions.
This most recent batch of news had people taking to social media once again, jumping to defend either side or simply marveling at the situation altogether.
So basically, a hurricane is bearing down on Florida and you have officials at LSU saying, “This is a joke”

I would expect more of an SEC athletic director than to get his opinions from Tiger Droppings.

Florida wasn’t trying to duck LSU.
They certainly weren’t trying their hardest to play the game, either. Let’s be done with this.

The most stunning thing from the LSU-Florida scheduling emails is that public officials still don't realize their emails are public record.

It wasn't Joe Alleva's job to cooperate with Florida, OR the SEC. It was his job to look out for LSU's best interests.

Whoa.
Not a good look for Joe Alleva. As AD, he should know that every email is subject to FOIA requests.
Why would you say this? https://t.co/3lW8bG8xHn
