LSU has been a factory for NFL talent under Les Miles, and they came into the season with the most players on active NFL rosters. Known as Defensive Back University for the excellent cornerbacks and safeties they send to the league, LSU also had a handful of offensive line starters like Andrew Whitworth, Joe Barksdale and Trai Turner clearing paths. Here are some of the LSU alumni who put up big stats for their pro teams on Saturday, featuring a marquee matchup between former teammates Reuben Randle and Patrick Peterson.

  • Kyle Williams – The dominant defensive tackle put in work as his Bills moved to 2-0, bullying the Miami Dolphins offensive line for 4 tackles and a sack.
  • Ryan Clark – The longtime Steeler is now playing in Washington and picked up a half-sack in their win over Jacksonville.
  • Reuben Randle – Lined up against former teammate Patrick Peterson’s Arizona Cardinals, Giants receiver Randle hauled in a sweet touchdown pass. He finished with 4 catches for 39 yards.
  • Patrick Peterson – One of the league’s best cornerbacks had four tackles in the Cardinals win over the New York Giants
  • Stevan Ridley – Ridley was a workhorse in the New England Patriots’ win over the Minnesota Vikings, carrying 25 times for 101 yards and a touchdown.
  • Dwayne Bowe – Bowe returned from suspension for the Kansas City Chiefs and had 3 catches for 40 yards.
