This week’s boneheaded play of the week features someone that I never thought I’d call out this year.

Dak Prescott of Mississippi State has played so well over the course of the season, but this weekend was a rough one for him.

I thought he’d have the toughest task of any SEC quarterback on Saturday, and it proved to be true. His three interceptions were rough, but one in particular was just a flat-out boneheaded play.

While all three of his picks were in Alabama territory, this one stands out to me as being the worst. When playing against Alabama, you just can’t make plays like that and survive.

Prescott has been one of the best players in the country this season. He was a Heisman Trophy front-runner. He was leading the No. 1-ranked team in all of college football. Then he ran into the Crimson Tide in Tuscaloosa.

I still think he’s one of the best players in the game. That said, if he would have won this game and not throw three picks, I think he would’ve won the Heisman.

I’m a Dak Prescott fan and I think you’d have a hard time finding someone that isn’t a fan of his. He has a remarkable story and the players love him. I hope that he, and the Bulldogs, can get back on the horse and finish strong. They still have a lot to play for and can still have a very special season.
