Mississippi State DB Brandon Bryant went under the knife on Thursday, according to a report from The Clarion-Ledger.

Bulldogs beat writer Michael Bonner reports that Bryant underwent a minor procedure on his wrist to, for lack of a better medical term, “clean things up.”

Given the timing of the procedure and the lack of severity, it is expected that Bryant will return to full strength in time for summer workouts.

The sophomore made some noise early in the spring by picking off three passes in the Bulldogs’ first scrimmage.

Bryant is expected to be a key contributor in new defensive coordinator Peter Sirmon’s scheme this fall.
