Cool Mississippi State St. Petersburg Bowl promotion allows fans to donate tickets to military and first responders
At 5-7 and only bowl-eligible thanks to an impressive APR rating, Mississippi State didn’t exactly get the best bowl game draw.
The Bulldogs are facing Miami (Ohio) in the St. Petersburg Bowl, which kicks off at the not-so-fan-friendly time of 11 a.m. Eastern on Dec. 26 — the morning after Christmas.
Since the TV ratings are likely to be better for the game and actual attendance will likely be low, Mississippi State fans will be allowed to donate a special gift to military members and first responders — tickets to the game:

The St. Petersburg Bowl can be seen on ESPN at 11 a.m. Eastern time on Dec. 26.
