Ole Miss isn’t the only university in the state of Mississippi to self-report minor violations to the NCAA this month.

According to The Clarion-Ledger, Mississippi State self-reported 10 secondary violations to the NCAA, most of which revolved around Twitter and some questionable recruiting mishaps. Football played a minor role, with only two issues coming from the program.

The list of violations ranges from September 2015 through March 2016.

The Clarion-Ledger cites Twitter as the primary issue for the violations against the football program.

Less than a month after becoming a recruiting specialist at MSU, Patrick Austin committed a violation with a tweet.

On March 3, Austin replied to a prospective student athlete’s tweet. According to documents, Austin meant to send the athlete a direct message. Instead, his message went public, which is a violation.

Recently, MSU’s in-state rival Ole Miss self-reported 22 minor violations.
