Report: Mississippi State expected to land assistant coach from Georgia's staff
Mississippi State head coach Dan Mullen is reportedly reaching across the division to land the newest member of his coaching staff, as Georgia graduate assistant D.J. Looney is expected to head to Starkville. Looney is also a 2010 graduate of Mississippi State.
This news was first reported by Bruce Feldman of FOX Sports:

Looney joined Georgia’s staff after two seasons at Central Arkansas. Perhaps of more significance to MSU, Looney has ties to famed Mississippi junior college powerhouse East Mississippi Community College, where he spent two seasons as offensive coordinator and recruiting coordinator at the JUCO program from 2012-2013.
In a unique coincidence, MSU will make the rare trip to Athens this season on Sept. 23. So either way, Looney will likely have to coach at least one game between the hedges in 2017.
