Former Mississippi State QB Dak Prescott took the NFL by storm this season, throwing for 3,667 yards and 23 touchdowns while leading the Dallas Cowboys to a 13-3 record after Tony Romo was injured in the preseason.

For his efforts, Prescott was named the NFL’s Offensive Rookie of the Year in a ceremony on Saturday night ahead of Sunday’s Super Bowl LI in Houston.

Prescott, a fourth-round pick, thanked the other 31 NFL teams for passing him up at least three times each in his acceptance speech, but his best moment came when he first took the stage.

“Do we have a knife so I can cut this in half?” he joked at the start of his speech while being joined on stage by fellow rookie star Ezekiel Elliott, who ran for 1,631 yards and 15 scores in his own impressive rookie campaign.

With Prescott and Elliott preparing for their second NFL seasons, an improving defense and one of the league’s best offensive lines, the future is very bright in Dallas.
