There’s no question that former Mississippi State QB Dak Prescott had an incredible rookie season for the Dallas Cowboys in 2016.

But, even after he won the Rookie of the Year award, not everyone is sold on his ability to continue to dominate the NFL.

On Tuesday, FOX Sports 1 analyst Eric Davis came on “The Herd with Colin Cowherd” and questioned the fact that Prescott is ranked No. 14 on a list of the NFL’s top-100 players. Actually, he says in the video below, Prescott should only be considered the No. 14 quarterback in the league, not the 14th-best overall player:

“With Dak, you saw what he did,” Davis says. “No. 14? I would say that’s correct if you’re ranking him with the quarterbacks. I would say Dak is, right now, after one season, I would say that he’s…”

“The 14th-best quarterback?” Cowherd finishes for him, and Davis agrees.

In all fairness, Davis is probably right about Prescott not being the 14th-best player in the league, but the No. 14 quarterback? That seems a little low.

Prescott has faced doubt like this before, though, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see him take another step forward as a second-year player this fall.
