Former LSU FB Jacob Hester has turned into a college football analyst and radio personality following his NFL career.

Ahead of SEC Media Days on Monday, Hester joined the SEC Network to discuss LSU and other things SEC. He was then asked to pick a sleeper team in the SEC for 2019.

On Monday morning’s edition of “SEC This Morning,” Hester picked another Tiger squad — Mizzou — as his team that could surprise people this year:

“I like their schedule, I like their quarterback, I like their running back,” he said. “There’s a lot to like about Mizzou. I like Derek Dooley going into Year 2.”

Of course, the black cloud hanging over the Mizzou program is a one-year bowl ban handed out by the NCAA for the 2019 season. However, the Tigers are appealing.

It could be a special year in Columbia, especially if the Tigers are once again deemed eligible for postseason play.
