Missouri defensive tackle Terry Beckner Jr. will miss Saturday’s game with a knee injury.

Beckner sustained the injury in the first quarter of the Tigers’ 20-16 win over BYU last Saturday. It happened on an attempted cut block by BYU guard Ryker Mathews. Beckner’s foot got stuck in the turf at Arrowhead Stadium and his right knee was bent awkwardly.

The freshman walked off the field with the help of Missouri’s trainers, but the medical staff put a brace on his knee and he was taken to the locker room on a cart. He did not return.

Beckner has 27 tackles, eight tackles for loss and three sacks this season.

Missouri (5-5) hosts Tennessee (6-4) on Saturday at 7:15 ET. The game will be shown on ESPN2.
