Three days after Missouri head coach Gary Pinkel announced he would retire at the end of the season due to an ongoing battle with cancer, the Tigers lost a recruit.

Tobias Littlea three-star linebacker from Mays High School in Atlanta, has de-committed from Missouri.

Little is the nation’s No. 22 inside linebacker, according to Rivals. He committed to Missouri on July 29.

Little also has offers from Mississippi State, South Carolina, Clemson, Georgia Tech, North Carolina, N.C. State, Virginia Tech, Iowa and Louisville, among others.

Last week, Little indicated that he was glad to see Pinkel and the Missouri coaching staff backing the players who had chosen to support the on-campus protests at Missouri.

“I’m glad to see the coaches sticking behind their players and supporting them,” Little said. “That’s what a family is all about and that’s what I look forward to. Being a part of something special.”
