Missouri hopes to take care of multiple goals on Saturday. The Tigers are out for revenge against Purdue, after falling to the Boilermakers 3-35 last season. A win in Week 3 would also give MU its first victory over a Power 5 foe in the 2018 season, which would help Barry Odom’s squad get ready for SEC play. Below, find the score, live updates and stats for the Missouri-Purdue football game.

The lead up

Saturday Tradition News: Purdue QB Elijah Sindelar questionable for Week 3 against Missouri

Purdue has been rolling with a two QB system for a while now (including the start of 2018) and it hasn’t worked to this point in the season.

The Boilermakers are 0-2 with losses to Northwestern and Eastern Michigan. Well, that 2 QB system may not be used in Week 3.

On Thursday, Purdue coach Jeff Brohm said Elijah Sindelar is questionable for the game against Missouri.

SDS News: Purdue WR Jared Sparks discusses lining up across his brother when Mizzou visits this weekend

In two games this year, Purdue sophomore WR Jared Sparks has seven catches for 87 yards.

However, if he adds to that total this weekend, those catches will mean just a little bit more, as he’ll be going head-to-head with his brother — Mizzou CB Adam Sparks.

After playing against each other at Faurot Field last year, Adam’s Tigers will travel to Purdue for this year’s rematch:

“We always used to wrestle as kids,” Jared says. “We never really got the opportunity on the field to have a matchup on a consistent basis — I’ve always been at the quarterback position and he’s been on the defensive side. It’s always been me throwing him the ball, but now it’s going to be me catching it on him. That’s what I’m really excited about — now it’s mano y mano.”
