Don’t expect to hear from Mizzou DL Marcell Frazier much this season.

In an interesting move, the redshirt senior tweeted on Tuesday that he would not be doing any interviews with local media in 2017, as he gains “nothing from it” and isn’t required to speak at the collegiate level.

It’s not clear whether Frazier has some sort of problem with a local media member or if he just wants to lay low and focus on football.

However, it’s worth noting that he only applied the media blackout locally, so if a national outlet wants to come do a story on him, it’ll be interesting to see how he responds.

Frazier finished the 2016 season with 8.5 sacks. He’ll be expected to do more this fall as he tries to replace some of the production the Tigers lost when Charles Harris left for the NFL.
