Anytime any school can go down into the state of Louisiana and snatch a cornerback prospect, it’s a great day.

And you can bet Barry Odom and his staff are celebrating on Christmas Day over this one.

Three-star cornerback Adam Sparks committed to Mizzou over Wake Forest and Purdue, among others, and he announced the news on his Twitter account.

Sparks decommitted from Vanderbilt on December 16, and the decision looked somewhat mutual, as the Commodores were exploring other options after Sparks seemed to be looking around.

The first thing that jumps out about Sparks is his length, listed as a 6-0 cornerback, and we all know how well Louisiana cornerbacks can develop into great players. LSU has proven it time and time again. That length is something Odom and his staff have to love.

The Geismar, Louisiana, native is rated as the state of Louisiana’s No. 36 overall player and the nation’s No. 86 cornerback, according to 247Sports’ Composite Rankings.
