Good news for Mizzou as the Tigers picked up commitment No. 6 of the 2018 recruiting cycle Friday from Texas linebacker Cameron Wilkins, a 14-6A First-Team All-District player for Del Valle High School.

The 6-foot-1, 234-pound Wilkins is rated as a three-star prospect, the No. 45 inside linebacker in the nation and the No. 160 overall prospect from Texas for the 2018 recruiting cycle by 247Sports Composite Ratings. Wilkins commits to Mizzou over offers from Purdue, Texas Tech, Arkansas State, Colorado State and SMU among others.

Wilkins announced the news Friday afternoon with the following message on Twitter:

Of the six commitments in the current recruiting class for the Tigers, none are from Missouri but three are now from the Lone Star State following Wilkins’ commitment.
