Last year may not have gone according to plan for the Missouri Tigers, but there’s plenty of reason for optimism heading into 2016.

New coach Barry Odom will enter his first season at the helm of the Tigers, who return a young starting quarterback in Drew Lock and a stout defense.

In a new hype video released Saturday by a fan, highlights of Lock and the Tiger defense are featured prominently.

If Oklahoma transfer Alex Ross can kickstart the Mizzou running game and a rebuilt offensive line opens holes and protects the Tigers’ sophomore quarterback, Odom’s first year could improve upon last season’s 5-7 record.

Mizzou opens the season on Saturday, Sept. 3, at West Virginia. The Tigers’ first home game will be against Eastern Michigan on Sept. 10.
