This could be quite the promotion-filled offseason for Ted Monachino, who spent the 2018 season as an analyst on Barry Odom’s staff at Mizzou.

Monachino spent the years prior to 2018 with the Indianapolis Colts and Baltimore Ravens, winning a Super Bowl as a member of the Ravens’ staff. This offseason, he was hired by new Kansas State coach Chris Klieman as the Wildcats’ new defensive coordinator.

However, his stop in Manhattan may be a short one, as it was reported by FootballScoop.com that Monachino was being considered for the Chicago Bears’ defensive coordinator job.

The Bears are trying to replace DC Vic Fangio, who was hired by the Denver Broncos to be their new head coach.

Kansas State fans won’t like this news, but Monachino could rise up the ranks pretty quickly.
