Video: Mizzou details new plans for south end zone renovations
Mizzou’s football facilities are getting an upgrade. Memorial Stadium’s south end zone will undergo construction that will add seating, a weight room, locker room, team lounge, equipment room and coaches offices.
Also included in the project is something called a virtual reality simulation room, which sounds fascinating, though unnecessary.
The original plan called for using the existing structure and building around it, but now the school will demolish the current south section of the stadium and start from scratch:

That, of course, will lead to additional time and money being poured into the project:
Mizzou south end zone facility will now cost between $90 to $100 million, up from earlier $75 million estimate

But, when it is all said and done, the new stadium will have more seats for fans:

How the construction affects home games the next two seasons remains to be seen.
