Mizzou WR Richaud Floyd only caught four passes for 94 yards in 2016, but when the 2017 season kicks off, he may pass those numbers quickly.

According to STLToday.com, Floyd has been impressing teammates and coaches alike during training camp and may earn more playing time.

Currently, he’s second on the depth chart at the slot receiver position behind fellow redshirt sophomore Johnathon Johnson, but even Johnson has loved what he’s seen from Floyd this summer:

“He’s a workaholic,” Johnson said. “He’s always working to get everyone better. He’s always getting better. Richaud is the X-factor of the receivers. Everybody else might get the spotlight, but he’s definitely the best one.”

Floyd isn’t likely to pass the dynamic Johnson on the depth chart, but if he continues to play well this summer, offensive coordinator Josh Heupel will make sure he sees the field quite a bit this fall.
