Bo Wallace and Laquon Treadwell could be the best quarterback-receiver duo in the SEC this season, and they’ll have a great chance to prove it tonight.

The Rebels will face a Boise State defense which ranked 88th in the nation in pass yards allowed per game in 2013, and the Broncos have since lost their best pass rusher last season in Demarcus Lawrence to the NFL.

Establishing the Wallace-Treadwell connection early could take Broncos’ tailback Jay Ajayi out of the game and allow an athletic Rebels defensive line to play more aggressive in obvious passing situations. The further behind Boise State falls tonight, the less it will be able to lean on its star tailback to pace the offense.

Wallace has 26 career starts under his belt, and Treadwell led Ole Miss with 72 catches as a freshman last season. The duo is poised to have a big 2014 campaign, and tonight’s game is their chance to make a strong first impression.
