In recent history, Ole Miss has given Alabama more trouble than any other SEC team. With the Rebels having scored 123 points in their first two games of the season, it’s clear that Matt Luke’s squad has some serious firepower. Before anyone starts anticipating an upset, though, it’s important to know that Alabama has established it can score points as well. The Crimson Tide comes in having thumped Louisville 51-14 and Arkansas State 57-7. Ole Miss’ defense struggled last week to contain FCS Southern Illinois, which gained 629 yards in a 41-point effort. Those numbers likely have Tua Tagovailoa and company licking their chops. Below, find kickoff time, TV channel information and odds for the Alabama-Ole Miss football game.

SDS News: Alabama freshman DL Stephon Wynn returns from injury

Coming into the 2018 season, Stephon Wynn was a 4-star signee for the Alabama Crimson Tide.

The talented defensive end suffered an injury this August, though, and hasn’t been in action since.

On Monday, coach Nick Saban said Wynn is back on the field, though he wasn’t sure how long it would take to get him into a game situation (via AL.com):

“It’s too early to tell whether he’ll be healthy enough to be able to use him in the game,” Saban said.

SDS News: Nick Saban on Ole Miss: ‘The real season is really starting now’

Nick Saban met with the media Monday to preview the Ole Miss game.

“The real season is really starting now,” Saban said about facing Ole Miss. “I think with SEC play coming up, we’ve had some gifts given to us in the first couple games that I don’t think that’s going to happen, and I think the players have to understand the importance of stepping it up a notch in terms of preparation.

“They’re (Ole Miss) playing as well as anybody in the country,” Saban continued. “They have a lot of weapons. Their quarterback i playing really well. … This is a really, really good offensive team as indicated by their statistics.”

SDS News: Matt Luke previews Ole Miss-Alabama

During his Monday afternoon press conference, Matt Luke was asked to share his thoughts on the upcoming challenge of facing Alabama and what the Rebels had in store for the big weekend. Here are the highlights from his availability with the press.

“Just both sides, good players everywhere. Their ability to put good player after good player out there consistently. It’s impressive. They have good players, and they’re well-coached. Impressive on both sides of the ball. Offense, defensive lines are always really good. Really good skill players. It’s just impressive the consistency they show year after year.”
