Now that he’s in the NFL, former Ole Miss LT Greg Little is all about getting to work. A recent profile by Max Henson for the Carolina Panthers team site notes that Little hasn’t taken much time to explore the city of Charlotte, throwing himself into football.

“I love football,” said Little, the team’s second-round draft choice. “So I could be in meetings all day talking about football.”

It’s part of his plan to earn the starting left tackle job. He puts an emphasis on the earn part.

“They have high expectations of me and I’ve had high expectations since high school coming out and being a top tackle,” Little said. “Just work. I’m not looking for any handouts. I’m here to earn it.”

That kind of attitude has impressed his new head coach.

“The biggest thing you do notice from Greg is that he’s paying attention to a lot of things,” head coach Ron Rivera said. “He wants to learn. That’s a huge plus.”
